Structure

The Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) shall consist of:

  1. Director's General Bureau;
  2. Department of Consumer Policy;
  3. Department of Wholesale Telecommunications Market;
  4. Department of Strategy and Telecommunications Market Analysis;
  5. Department of Postal Market;
  6. Department of Frequency Resources Management;
  7. Department of Technology;
  8. Department of Monitoring;
  9. Department of Telecommunications Security;
  10. Legal Department;
  11. Department of International Cooperation;
  12. Finance and Budget Bureau;
  13. Administration and Personnel Bureau;
  14. IT Bureau; 

and 16 regional offices (whose scope of operation shall cover the areas of particular regions in Poland).

  

The UKE shall be composed of the following regional branches:

  • Lower Silesia Regional Branch with its seat in Wrocław – for the voivodship of Lower Silesia;
  • Cuiavia and Pomerania Regional Branch with its seat in Bydgoszcz – for the voivodeship of Cuiavia and  Pomerania;
  • Lublin Regional Branch with its seat in Lublin – for the voivodship of Lublin;
  • Lubusz Regional Branch with its seat in Zielona Góra - for the voivodship of Lubusz;
  • Łódź Regional Branch with its seat in Łodź - for the voivodship of Łódź;
  • Lesser Poland Regional Branch with its seat in Kraków - for the voivodship of Lesser Poland;
  • Opole Regional Branch with its seat in Opole - for the voivodship of Opole;
  • Sub-Carpathia Regional Branch with its seat in Rzeszów - for the voivodship of Sub-Carpathia;
  • Podlasie Regional Branch with its seat in Białystok - for the voivodship of Podlasie;
  • Pomerania Regional Branch with its seat in Gdynia - for the voivodship of Pomerania;
  • Silesia Regional Branch with its seat in Siemianowice Śląskie - for the voivodship of Silesia;
  • Kielce Regional Branch with its seat in Kielce - for the voivodship of Kielce;
  • Varmia and Mazuria Regional Branch with its seat in Olsztyn - for the voivodship of Varmia and Mazuria;
  • Greater Poland Regional Branch with its seat in Poznań - for the voivodship of Greater Poland;
  • Western Pomerania Regional Branch with its seat in Szczecin - for the voivodship of Western Pomerania.
  • Warsaw Regional Branch with its seat in Warsaw

    INTRODUCTION
    The President of the Office of Electronic Communications (President of UKE) is the national regulatory authority for the market of telecommunications and postal services. The President of UKE is also the specialised authority in the area of equipment conformity assessment, including telecommunications terminal equipment and radio equipment.

    INTERNATIONAL ACTIVITY
    Here you can find information about the most import ant international events, significant for the development of telecommunications and postal markets In Poland and for the statutory activity of the Office of Electronic Communications.
    International activity of the President of UKE consists of, inter alia, cooperation with the European Commission, other EU institutions and Regulatory Authorities of EU Member State. It includes also the cooperation within organizations of which UKE is a member, i.e. the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the Body for European Regulators of Electronic Communications (BEREC) and the European Committee for Postal Regulation (CERP).
