Meeting with representatives of the Office of Electronic Communications.
On 20 November 2011, delegation from the Georgian National Communications Commission (GNCC) headed by Irakli Chikovani visited Warsaw at the invitation of Anna Streżyńska, the President of the Office of Electronic Communications.
The visit concerns the implementation of a joint project called "Using the experience of the Office of Electronic Communications in the field of telecommunications market regulation according to the EU requirements, under the "Development Assistance 2011" and plans for further cooperation.
The Georgian regulator will study the list of best practices based on UKE experience in the field of telecommunications market regulation which was prepared as part of the project. The GNCC employees are interested in many aspects of the Polish telecommunications market functioning and development and are willing to use UKE experience.
The President of UKE hopes that both the document presenting UKE experience and best regulatory practices as well as direct consultations with experts of the Polish regulator will be used by the GNCC employees to enhance the development of the telecommunications market in Georgia.
The project is financed within the framework of development cooperation programme of the Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 2011.
