Tenderers in the GSM and UMTS tenders

Five entities have submitted their offers in the tenders for UMTS and GSM 1800 frequencies. The deadline of submitting offers for the reservation of frequencies in the tenders involving UMTS and GSM 1800 MHz bands expired on 12 April 2005.

The following companies submitted their offers for the reservation of frequencies in the GSM 1800 MHz mobile system:

  • Polkomtel S.A. with its seat in Warsaw,
  • Netia Mobile Sp. z o.o. with its seat in Warsaw,
  • Polska Telefonia Komórkowa Centertel Sp. z o.o. with its seat in Warsaw.

In the tender for the reservation of frequencies in the UMTS mobile system the following companies submitted their offers:

  • Polska Telefonia Cyfrowa Sp. z o.o. with its seat in Warsaw,
  • Polkomtel S.A. with its seat in Warsaw,
  • Netia Mobile Sp. z o.o. with its seat in Warsaw,
  • Qiana Investments Sp. z o.o. with its seat in Warsaw,
  • Polska Telefonia Komórkowa Centertel Sp. z o.o. with its seat in Warsaw.

The tendering commissions have started to work on the submitted offers according to the procedure described in the rules of the tendering commissions available on URTiP website.

The results of tenders will be announced on 9 May 2005.
