Opinion of UKE on shared use of infrastructure and spectrum

As part of the auction for frequencies in the 800 MHz and 2600 MHz bands 50 MHz in the 800 MHz band and 140 MHz in the 2600 MHz will be assigned in 2014 in Poland. The NRA presents it opinion on the roll-out of joint networks and shared use of infrastructure and spectrum resources.

Auction for 800 MHz and 2.6 GHz bands

The President of the Office of Electronic Communications announces auction for general exclusive frequency licences to ensure nation-wide high-speed mobile Internet development. The participants to the first auction of this type in Poland will compete for 5 general exclusive frequency licences in the 800 MHz band and for 14 general exclusive frequencies in the 2.6 GHz band.

Not only price - transparent quality of service indicators

The President of the Office of Electronic Communications presents her final report on the outcome of work on identification of quality of service indicators as part of the Memorandum for improving the quality of telecommunications services. The measurements on the operators' networks will commence based on this report.

The Invincible - Infrastructure Protection

On 10 December, the signatories to the Memorandum on counteracting theft and devastation of infrastructure initiated by the presidents of UKE, URE and UTK established a Foundation whose purpose will be to raise awareness and increase social engagement against thefts and devastation of telecommunications, energy and railway infrastructures.

TelePolska fined for breaches to consumer rights

The President of the Office of Electronic Communications Magdalena Gaj imposed on TelePolska Sp. z o.o. a financial penalty in the amount of PLN 1 936 840,10 for concluding initial agreements with consumers for the period longer than 24 months.
