Session of the Intersputnik Board

On 4 June, 41st session of the Intersputnik Board and 16th session of the Intersputnik Operations Committee began. During the meeting, Ms. Magdalena Gaj, the President of UKE, was presented with an honorary Intersputnik diploma for efforts to develop the organization and enhance its international prestige.

Visit of delegation from the Georgian National Communications Commission

On 27 May this year, a three-day visit of the Georgian National Communications Commission began in the Office of Electronic Communications. The main purpose of the meeting of the GNCC Chairman, Karlo Kvitaishvili, with Magdalena Gaj, the President of UKE, is to agree on a specific programme of cooperation in 2013.

The World Summit on the Information Society and the World Telecommunication Policy Forum

Egyptian delegation visits UKE

On April 23, 2013, the Office of Electronic Communications hosted a visit of the delegation of the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and the National Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (NTRA). The delegations were accompanied by representatives of IT chambers and ICT companies.

Polish delegation to visit Shenzhen

The Polish delegation met with Chen Biao - deputy mayor of Shenzhen, a city where the first Chinese Special Economic Zone was created. It is a symbol of dynamic economic and technological development of the country and a region with one of the largest GDP growth in the world. Chinese partners proposed strengthening the cooperation in the area of innovative technologies.

Broadband Commission for Digital Development

On 16 and 17 March, the President of UKE Magdalena Gaj participated in 7th session of the Broadband Commission for Digital Development, an international commission established by ITU. Participation in the session was an opportunity to present the activities carried out in Poland for equal opportunities in the ICT sector and promotion of digital development.

Polish projects at CeBIT fair in Hannover

Over 200 Polish companies present their products and services at the IT fair in Hannover. At CeBIT Poland also has stands presenting the projects of the Office of Electronic Communications, the Ministry of Administration and Digitisation and the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.

GSMA Mobile World Congress, and Central and Eastern Europe panel

Representatives of the Office of Electronic Communications took part in a panel discussion during the GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. In addition to experts from Poland, the discussion was also attended by representatives of regulatory authorities from Romania and Ukraine.

The President of UKE is also the specialised authority in the area of equipment conformity assessment, including telecommunications terminal equipment and radio equipment.

    International activity of the President of UKE consists of, inter alia, cooperation with the European Commission, other EU institutions and Regulatory Authorities of EU Member State. It includes also the cooperation within organizations of which UKE is a member, i.e. the International Telecommunications Union (ITU), the Body for European Regulators of Electronic Communications (BEREC) and the European Committee for Postal Regulation (CERP).
