The first broadband project in Poland has been just given a green light from the European Commission.
It is the largest ICT investment project in Europe financed from the EU funds. Its value amounts to more than PLN 1.4 billion. It will be implemented in the area of 5 provinces of Eastern Poland. Thanks to this investment, Internet will no longer be a luxury but rather a part of everyday life for more inhabitants of Eastern Poland. The Commission's approval means that work on similar projects implemented by local authorities will also accelerate.
