Frequency management plan for mobile networks

2004-07-29

According to the Telecommunications law the President of the Council of Ministers lays down by ordinance the National Table of Frequency Allocations for particular radiocommunication services. The President of URTiP has the obligation to draft a detailed frequency management plan for the given systems and radiocommunication networks. The plan is then subject to the opinion of the Telecommunications Council and published in the URTiP Bulletin.

The commencement of works on the frequency management plan for the bands subject to a regulatory decision will be announced in the August issue of the URTiP Bulletin (No 4/2004) as well as on the internet website at www.urtip.gov.pl. The drafted frequency management plan will cover:

  • Frequency ranges: 1710 – 1785 MHz and 1805 – 1880 MHz for a digital mobile system according to the GSM 1800 standard, and
  • Frequency ranges: 1900 – 1980 MHz  and 2110 – 2170 MHz for a digital mobile system according to the UMTS standard.

Entities which are interested in the use of these frequencies may submit to URTiP written proposals for the drafted plan within 1 month of the day on which the announcement was published.
