Consultation regarding mobile TV beauty contest documentation

NOTICE
of the President of the Office of Electronic Communications
(Urząd Komunikacji Elektronicznej)
of August 1, 2008

on the announcement of the beginning of the consultation proceedings concerning the beauty contest for an exclusive frequency licence in the 470-790 MHz band including radio channels of 8 MHz bandwidth intended for broadcasting radio or television programmes all over the country, in the DVB-H technology, in the radiocommunication broadcasting service

  

Pursuant to Article 16 paragraph 1 of the Act of July 16, 2004 – Telecommunications Law (Journal of Laws No. 171, item 1800 as amended 1) it is hereby announced:

1. On August 5, 2008 the consultation proceedings concerning the beauty contest for an exclusive frequency licence in the 470-790 MHz band including radio channels of 8 MHz bandwidth intended for broadcasting radio or television programmes all over the country, in the DVB-H technology, in the radiocommunication broadcasting service shall be launched.

2. The following draft documents shall be subject to consultation proceedings:

1) invitation to the beauty contest for an exclusive frequency licence in the 470-790 MHz band  including radio channels of 8 MHz bandwidth intended for broadcasting radio or television programmes all over the country, in the DVB-H technology, in the radiocommunication broadcasting service,

2) beauty contest documentation concerning the beauty contest for an exclusive frequency licence in the 470-790 MHz band including radio channels of 8 MHz bandwidth intended for broadcasting radio or television programmes all over the country, in the DVB-H technology, in the radiocommunication broadcasting service.

3) the decision of the President of the Office of Electronic Communications on the exclusive frequency licence in the 470-790 MHz band for radio channels, of 8 MHz bandwidth each, intended for broadcasting radio or television programmes all over the country, in the DVB-H technology, in the radiocommunication broadcasting service.

3. The draft documents subject to consultation proceedings are available at the official website of the Office of Electronic Communications (http://www.uke.gov.pl) as well as in the premises of the Office of Electronic Communications at Kasprzaka street 18/20, room No. 807.

4. All interested parties are requested to submit their opinions related to the draft documents subject to consultation proceedings in writing within 30 days of the consultation proceedings start-up date, from 8.15 to 16.15, at the premises of the Office of Electronic Communications at Kasprzaka 18/20 street in Warsaw, to the Main Chancellery with a note reading:

“An opinion concerning the beauty contest for an exclusive frequency licence in the 470-790 MHz band including radio channels of 8 MHz bandwidth intended for broadcasting radio or television programmes all over the country, in the DVB-H technology, in the radiocommunication broadcasting service

or electronically to konkursdvbh470-790@uke.gov.pl upon a confirmation in writing.

5. The results of the consultation proceedings as well as unrestricted opinions shall be announced in accordance with the provisions of Article 16 paragraph 2 of the Act of July 16, 2004  - Telecommunications Law:
1) on the notice board in the premises of the Office of the Electronic Communications at Kasprzaka 18/20 street in Warsaw;
2) in the Public Information Bulletin of the Office of the Electronic Communications;
3) at the website of the Office of Electronic Communications.
