Beginning of the next edition of the ITU WSIS Project Prizes 2015

The International Telecommunication Union announced registration of projects for the next edition of the "WSIS Project Prizes 2015".

 

The purpose of this annual, prestigious undertaking is to select the world’s best projects on the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in various aspects of the information society within the framework of implementation of the provisions of the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS).

During the ongoing first phase of the competition, applications of individual projects can be submitted in 18 categories, until 10 February 2015, 23:00 hrs.

The competition is dedicated to a wide range of stakeholders. Details concerning, inter alia, the registration of a project as well as criteria for nominations to the WSIS Project Prize can be found on the following website: http://groups.itu.int/stocktaking/WSISProjectPrizes2015.aspx.

In this year's edition of the WSIS Project Prizes 2014, Poland has won the award in the C.6. category (Enabling environment)  for the "We support e-business" project (Platform: We support e-business - web.gov.pl), implemented by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.

During the WSIS Project Prizes 2012, Poland has won the award in the C.4. category (Capacity building) for the project "Digital Poland of Equal Opportunities", implemented by the Association of Cities on the Internet and the Ministry of Administration and Digitization within the systemic project - measure 8.3 Innovative Economy.
