116 numbers for services of social value

We would like to remind you that it is possible to apply to UKE for the assignment of numbers beginning with 116 in order to provide services of social value. 

 

Starting from 29 February 2008 it is possible to apply for the assignment of 116 111 and 116 123 numbers, which under the Decision of the European Commission, have been reserved for the provision of the following services:

   

116 111 – child help-lines. The service helps children in need of care and protection and links them to services and resources; it provides children with an opportunity to express their concerns, talk about issues directly affecting them and contact someone in an emergency situation.

116 123 – emotional support hotlines. The service enables the caller to benefit from a genuine human relationship based on non-judgemental listening. It offers emotional support to callers suffering from loneliness, in a state of psychological crisis, or contemplating suicide.
